About
Scrap Spells Tiny tools for big feelings.
Some of us journal to manifest. Some of us journal to survive. Most of us are doing both on the same Tuesday.
Scrap Spells was born from a hard season. The kind that sends you back to things you'd set down years ago. For me, I realized I needed to work through it with creativity. I'd spent two decades being busy in the way that women get busy: work, family, obligations that expand to fill every hour. Somewhere in there, I stopped making things just for me.
Then life got heavy enough that I needed somewhere to put it. I found my way back to journaling. But not just writing like I used to do: to cutting and gluing and layering and feeling. To junk and creative journaling, which sounds chaotic and is, which is the whole point.
I've kept journals and scrapbooks for twenty years. Not just pretty kinds with color-coded tabs, though I love those. The kind where you drag something out of yourself and stick it to a page so you can finally see it. The kind where the right image next to the right words does something therapy takes three sessions to reach.
The stickers I needed didn't exist. So I made them.
Scrap Spells is for women who use their pages to feel, not just decorate. A little goth, a little witchy, deeply honest — because the women I make for have been through things, and their journals should show it.
I'm Gillian. I make everything here. And whether you know my story or not, I made these for yours.
