What's a Scrap Spell?
What's a Scrap Spell?
The short version:
It's a journaling ritual kit. Part junk journal supply drop, part intention-setting spell. You make a page. The page holds the magic. That's it.
The slightly longer version:
You know that feeling when something is living in your chest and you can't quite get it out? A worry, a want, a mood you can't name, something you needed to say but didn't?
A Scrap Spell gives it somewhere to go.
Each kit comes with everything you need to make one intentional journal page — stickers, images, papers, and a spell card that walks you through the whole thing. You set an intention before you start. You build the page around it. You layer things, stick things, make something that looks like the feeling you're working with.
When the page is done, it holds the thing. It's outside of you now. On paper. Made beautiful, or chaotic, or both.
That's the spell.
Is it actually witchcraft?
Kind of. Sort of. It's up to you.
It's witchcraft if you want it to be — a real ritual, an intentional practice, a page in your growing grimoire. It's also just really satisfying art journaling if that's more your speed. We don't check.
The magic is in the making. What you call it is your business.
Do I need to know how to journal?
Nope. There are no rules for how a page should look, no right way to layer things, no journaling experience required. The spell card walks you through it step by step. The only requirement is a surface to stick things to and a willingness to make a small beautiful mess.
What comes in a Scrap Spell kit?
Every kit is different — each one is built around a specific intention or feeling. But most include:
- A sticker sheet designed for the kit's theme
- Printed journal page images and ephemera for layering
- A spell card — a welcome note on the front, journaling prompts on the back
- The scrap spell itself — a simple ritual instruction for making your page
- Sometimes a crystal, a candle, or a small extra that belongs to the spell
Browse the current kits and find the one that feels like yours. 🖤
Still not sure?
Or just start with a sticker sheet. You'll figure out the rest.
